Research Report "Development Prospects of Chinese Enterprises in Green Energy Industry in Pakistan" Releases

Islamabad, March 1, 2023 - A research report release ceremony and academic seminar on "Development Prospects of Chinese Enterprises in Pakistan's Green Energy Industry" took place in Pakistan's capital. Organized jointly by PowerChina, the Pakistan-China Institute (PCI), the All-Pakistan Chinese Enterprises Association (APCEA), and the Pakistan Representative Agency of CSHE, the event was attended by distinguished Pakistani officials including former Ambassador to China Naheem Naqvi Hashmi, Special Assistant to the Planning Ministry Dawood Muhammad Bareach, and Special Assistant to the Ministry of Climate Change Syed Mujtaba Hussain.

Yang Jianduo, Country Representative of PowerChina in Pakistan, President of APCEA, and the authorized representative of the Pakistan Office of CSHE, highlighted in his speech that the report's release would provide valuable insights for investors in Pakistan's green energy sector. The report conducted a comprehensive analysis of Pakistan's green energy industry's current status and the potential for Chinese enterprises to invest in wind energy, solar energy, hydropower, and other green energy projects. By drawing on China's research achievements and industry experiences in renewable energy, the report laid a strong theoretical foundation for further collaboration between China and Pakistan in the country's green energy infrastructure sector. PowerChina pledged to utilize its expertise and experiences to continuously support the enhancement of Pakistan's energy structure, ultimately benefiting the local population.

The primary objective of the event was to promote the idea of green development and overall environmental conservation, showcasing the accomplishments and contributions of Chinese enterprises like PowerChina in the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects and the green energy sector. The event saw participation from key enterprises along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor such as China Three Gorges Corporation and State Grid, as well as prominent academics, scholars, and mainstream media representatives from both China and Pakistan, including Xinhua News Agency and Dawn Newspaper, etc.
