The China Society for Hydropower Engineering (CSHE) stands as a prominent nationwide independent non-profit organization with a rich legacy dating back to its establishment in 1980. Comprising a formidable community of engineers and experts dedicated to advancing hydropower, CSHE serves as a pivotal force in China's dynamic energy landscape.
With a robust membership base of 39,000 individuals and 299 prestigious institute members representing a diverse array of sectors, including Government, Financial Institutes, Research Institutes, Universities, Power Grids, Manufacturers, Developers, Design & Engineering Institutes, and Construction Companies, CSHE wields significant influence. Notably, these members collectively account for 49% of China's Renewable Energy Installed Capacity, totaling an impressive 660GW, and 53% of the nation's Hydropower Installed Capacity, amounting to 220GW.
CSHE's extensive reach and impact are further amplified through its 35 technical committees, 3 working committees, 2 branches, and 2 overseas representative offices. These structures serve as conduits for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange, fostering continual progress in hydropower engineering and related fields.
